How do "emotions" and symbol-isms, metaphors, and creativity all reflect one another?

I think that symbol-isms, metaphors, and creativity all reflect one another in expressing emotions and logic. Such as Adam/Eve story expressing the prepubescent period of maturing humans and the rebellious period they go through.
