Pokemon black and white: What fossil did you pick? I am thinking about the turtle. How good is the other one.?

I heard that the bird has more base EVs than the turtle, but have a sucky ability. I like the design of the turtle also, but i fear if it would be slow though. Tell me some good movesets of these pokemon and good battle combinations also.
