In pokemon pearl can you ev train pokemon after lv 50 when they get lowerd back down to 50?

what i mean is like when you go to the battle tower and the get lowered to lv 50 and you started to ev them at lv 60 when you go to the battle tower and they get lowerd back to 50 will their evs still count
