I can't decide between Crobat or Swampert. Crobat has really good speed and can also learn Confuse Ray. Confuse ray is like Supersonic except it has better accuracy. Swampert has good defense and can use Hammer arm and Ice beam (< Through TM only). Slowbro can learn Psychic which is good for Koga and Bruno. And Togekiss can learn Aura Sphere. I suggest Swampert or Togekiss.

Get a Dragonite or Flygon/Salamence it will help Boost Up your Attack... If you can get Snorlax it's a great Staller with it's killer Defense... Get Togekiss to learn Flamethrower, you dont have much grass counter pokemon... If oyu get Dragonite or Flygon/Salamence make them learn Ice Beam and Flamthrower.. if you get Flygon make it learn those 2 moves plus Earthquake it will Boost it's unlikelyness to die after 3 turns (at least)

Ok so I have a lvl 1 scizor that I'm training in speed and attack. Speed is working. Attack? not so much... I've given him a power bracer and I'm training on patrats/lillipups and his attack isn't budging an inch. How do i EV train my pokemon?

Give Cottonnee Power Band or Power Belt (Battle Subway). Then go inside Pinwheel Forest with the power Belt attached, beat Sewaddle and Venipede. Both will give 5 defense evs (with power belt attached) or 1 without the belt. Keep track of the evs on notebook paper, and make it so you have 252 defense evs (50 times with belt, 2 without). Then go to route 4 and surf. Have power Band attached. You will battle frillish, which give 5 sp. Defense evs with the band attached. Get to 252 (50 times with band, 2 without). Then you have 4 evs left over for HP. Just beat a few amoongus. You could use 10 iron and 10 zinc at the beginning so it has 100 of each of the defense evs. Then you only need to win 30 times with item, 2 without.

New to this... Have been using Macho Brace on a Rattata from Lvl 1. According to how I record the battles and the vitamins I've used on it, it should have almost 550 EVs. It's only Lvl 19 now though. Holy crap that's a ton of info. First off why do you need chandelure AND infernape? Too much fire. I'm not a fan of porygon but you seem to have it figured out I like it's moves. I struggle for many years to give him things, and his father never concerned himself with our son. I got a meager 108.74 in child support. I had his wages garnished so I did not have to see him. If I had to do it over again, I would have moved. Now my son acts a lot like him. Since my ex husband had and to this day still lives with his mother, she was the one that would take me to court when I was trying to keep my son away from his bad behavior. A judge will almost always be lenient to a father. It is hard to terminate their visitation even if it is in the best interest of your child. He is angry at you, and will do anything to make you miserable, he is immature. A guy like him will never look at it and say this is the mother of my child, what do they need, how can I help? He will not change. If you stay there, he will always be a thorn at your side. I would not want to see anyone go through what I went through, and am still going through. If moving is not an option now, work on making it one. Put back money. Get as far away from him for the sake of your daughter. IF seeing him treat you that way, it will cause dysfunction between you and your daughter, she could very well pick up on that behavior and and direct it towards you. You just don't know how a child processes observing violent behavior in someone, how it will effect them. Shower her with love, kisses, hugs everyday. Make that bond between the two of you strong.

My mum slammed the door in his face and we thought that was the end of it. Is this lucid dreaming? How to prevent it?

So I would say maybe once or twice every few months I go into what I think are lucid dreams. I normally go into a normal dream which I can control (e.g I might think to myself don't jump in the river but I will instead if that makes sense). I then wake up or I think I have as I see my own surroundings but then I realise I am still in dream state as I can't move. I may also hear voices shouting at me or music and sometimes a person might be in my view or an animal e.g one time I could see I was lying in my bed and then a snake went up to me and I woke up. Is this what lucid dreaming is?. Although they only last a few minutes I find them pretty scary. Anything I can do to prevent it?

Best friend lied and stole off me. What to do?

Extremely long story. I was at a party and I smoked weed and started hallucinating and losing it and wrecking the party. One of my good mates (guy who made the party) brought me up the stairs took me into a bedroom (looked after me for a while). There my best friend (of 5 yrs) apparently "stayed" in the room looking after me. Next morning, my $50 note was gone. I asked my best friend if he used it to buy Maccas for everyone, cause I remember people were eating Maccas. He said NO and started accusing my mate (the party starter) for taking the money and witnessed him having a $50 in his wallet and buying ciggies with it. I asked him if he drove my car to drop people off (he is on his L's and was drinking), he said NO. Found out my fuel was half gone and crums around the car. Next day one of my other mates admitted to using my car to drop people off and apologized sincerley. However my best friend still denied driving my car. Couple days later, we were chilling in my friends car (guy who made the party) and I asked him if he knew who stole my money. He said he knew and that it was a friend that stole my money and that he would never tell me because it will make things worse. My best friend who happened to be in the car, started to buckle and choke and started accusing my mate why he was getting the blame and that he was a dog c*nt for accusing him etc (in short it looked like he knew he did it and couldn't handle the pressure so he lashed out). I also found out from my mate (and several others) that my best friend took my car out for 3 Maccas runs, had a joy ride (with alcohol in his system) and LET a drunk 14 yr old with no license drive it (I was also told that the 14 yr old nearly crashed my car 4 times). My mate (party starter) also said things which were true - my best friend didnt bring money to the party, he witnessed my bestie holding a lot of cash (change from the $50 possibly?) and that he pretty much shouted everyone Maccas (my best friend is on the dole, lives on housing commission and suffers financially, he never shouts anything). I confronted my best friend after this argument calmly and with no swearing or voice raising, he responded by swearing and telling me off and how he looked after me all night and would never do such thing and that the money used for Maccas was from people chipping in. I also asked other party goers that night and one said that my best friend would do no such thing and that he chipped in small change for Maccas. However I talked with my mate (the party starter) and he was 100% certain he took the money and that 'looking after you all night' doesn't mean sh*t. What do I do in this situation? Obviously our trio is broken up. I do not like to take sides either. My best friend (or ex bestie) is very hostile and refuses to talk. Please help me resolve this.

no, the macho brace only doubles the attack stat, there is no hold item that i know of that doubles EVs in speed, you just have to do it the good old fashioned way of battling lots and lots

How does Exp Share work in the Pokemon games?

I mean, I know how it works. I just want to know some of the finer details. For example, I have a level 100 Charizard in the front of my party, and a level 52 Venusaur holding the Exp Share. Since Charizard can't gain anymore experience, this means that Venusaur will gain all the experience Charizard earns in battle. My question is, will Venusaur also gain all the EVs (attack, defense, speed, etc.)? And if so, is there any down side to training Venusaur in this manner?

No self esteem and insecure after being dumped help please?

At the start of May my boyfriend of just under a year dumped me because he wanted to travel to Spain for 6 months in September to do EVS (european vocational scheme) which left me heartbroken and feeling siucidal. Within a week and a half he came up to see me and told me his life is hell without me and that he'd ripped up the application forms for EVS. I decided to give him a second chance, but told him he'd have to be patient because he needed to build back up my trust and to get me back to what was once my normal happy self. Pokemon start off with 0 EVs in all stats. They gain EVs through battling different kinds of Pokemon. Each individual stat cannot have more than 255 EVs. A single Pokemon can only have a total of 510 EVs. After that, any battle the Pokemon is in will not affect the Pokemon's EV total. So let's say your Oshawott has 255 EVs in Attack and 255 EVs in Speed. (255+255=510) If that Oshawott were to battle another Pokemon, it would not gain any EVs because it has reached the maximum total.

Its moves will be resistive against ground,grass,fire,water, and ice types. You are right with the focus slash. You could change icicle spear to avalanche. Have it learn rock slide to take out other ice type pokemon for a surprise attack. Toxicroak with dry skin and others are immune to water type attacks. It make them weaker to fire attacks though.

Ive been using this HP Pavilion dv7-4270us laptop for a few months now, and i have to say that im pretty impressed with it overall. Its pretty light weight for people who would be carrying it around, but its a strong build also. I use it for all kinds of things like surfing the net, gaming, and encoding videos to name a few. i also use it as a HTPC, and it hooks up well to my 32'' T.V. via the HDMI output. PQ and AQ look and sound great when connected to a T.V. as does everyday web browsing if you want to go that route with this laptop. The Blu-ray drive is pretty good and doesnt take very long to load it either, and the video looks good on the 17'' screen as well. All in all, very good bang for your buck with this product.

What is wrong with me and why am I like this?

My head is like chaos... it is like suppressed thoughts all going round in my head at once. Sometimes I get flashbacks of bad things that have happened in my life (being bullied etc) and it is making my life hell. I have a new friend called Sharon and she said I could come up to her house but when I got there she said she didn't want me there so I suddenly felt even worse... like intense rage and went back home and started slashing my wrists to get rid of all the pain. My mom always blames me for things when its not my fault and always wants last word?

My mom always screams at me and we always end up fighting about the most ridiculous things. Then she goes on and tattles on my dad saying that i have a bad attitude and that i like to fight which i don't! i have to shout to get my point across, and my mom tries to talk over me and interupt me. Good EV spread for Milotic?

To my relief and excitement I've just hatched a Modest Feebas and after all my work catching and breeding I decided to attempt EV training as well. I will be taking her through Pokemon White and proceeding to use her for competitive battle (which I have little to no experience with). This leaves me with a dilemma: my first instinct is to spread EVs across HP, Defence and Special Attack with a little left for Speed as she will need to take a few hits but I also intend for her to be my Water/Ice sweeper, at least in-game. What moves should I give her and how should I spread her EVs to get the best out of her as a viable competitive and storyline option? Anything else I should know before I start?

ima give you a tip or well what i do i try to never have two of the same types of pokemons ex. empoleon and oshawwat or wat ever its called and never have a pokemon have same type of moves like hudro pump and surf so whoever your battling you have a more advantage ex when you defeat one of his or her pokemon they bring out charzard you have multyple types of pokemon and you might have a water type. strategies too dont just throw out pokemon and use attacks use moves that rase both you attack and defense sharply i dont use moves that just raise one i use ones that raise both or more so i wont waist turns use the same move

It seems like you have test anxiety. So I would suggest you practice taking a test. Instead of just doing the problems in the book, select 5 or 6 problems and do them with a timer and no notes. Also, see if you can get any previous exams from the class. You seem to know the material, but freeze when it comes to tests so you should work on that specific problem.

alright i have some advice that might help its not so much of you team its there moves Mienshao should probably ditch fake out you can only use it when mienshao comes out and it has to be his first move, you can replace it with brick break or something.for Hydreigon you can get rid of surf seeing as you already have some good water power and replace it with draco meteor which can be tutored my drayden. instead of revenge why not put aqua jet its a fast hitting move thats good for a quick final blow.Finally for Ferrothorn i would suggest teaching flash cannon which is TM 91 found at Twist Mountain it can give you some steel support. Its a good team, but I would take out Skarmory and replace it with something like Metagross or Lucario, other good steel types. Metagross would be better however, because of its better defense and then it can be EV trained in Special Defense and still have good attack. I would also advise replacing Gengar with Cofagrigus/Spiritomb/Dusknoir, which can also be turned into a walls, or with a special sweeper such as Mismagius.And if you choose to keep Gengar, don't lead with Gengar. It is too fragile and plenty of other Pokemon can outspeed and potentially OHKO or KO it with Sucker Punch, and the opponent doesn't have to be faster to use that first.

I don't feel the need to get angry, am I weird?

I don't ever get really angry. I can only remember a couple of times in my life that I have almost seen red and felt I was screaming so much I was almost out of control. Not that I mind being out of control, I just think that things can so often be delt with better when one is in control. You can then be calm, think things through and talk without screaming. It's less stressful and emotional and it uses a lot less energy. The last time I remember losing my temper was when I left my husband 15 years ago. I was so angry that he had not listened to me all the times I had tried to talk to him about problems we were having and the situations that I was finding unbearable and he chose to ignore and carry on. Consequently things had broken down and fallen apart, I was angry that all we could have had was gone and I'd tried so hard to keep things together for both of us. Pokemon Soul Silver! EV training?

I have a question regarding EV training. Ok, I was EV training my Beldum in speed and I managed to obtain 50 EVs in speed, but in an attempt to get 60 speed EVs, my Beldum had died. I'm wondering, are my 50 EVs I had invested into my Beldum's speed stat still there? Or were they lost because of the fact, my Beldum died? I went to the Pokemon center to heal my Beldum and I don't know if my 50 speed EVs still there. I'm hoping so because they should not have been reset. *Sigh*;; :/

Okay, so I like a guy in the year above me at my school. We have so much in common and he is a genuinley nice guy (so i've heard). You could teach it a psychic move for fighting type pokemon for your umbreon to last longer.

Pokemon EV training question?

Been EV training my hitmonlee (pokemon fire red) to get it's attack to max. I gave it 4 proteins (which should give it 40 EV's for attack) and i've killed 20 paras with the macho brace on which should mean that i have 40 more EV's giving me 80 in total. this was all while the pokemon was at the same level and once i leveled up i only got +5 to attack. If every 4 EVs gives you plus 1 then i should have had a lot more added. Is something wrong? (I'm new to EV training so someone correct me if i've made a mistake)

There is this new student who has been attending my university last year. He came from Zimbabwe and can’t speak/ fully understand English properly. Ever since his been attending the university, his been getting verbally abused racially by a group of white females and most of the time he cannot fully understand what they are saying. One day he opened his bag in class and these bunch of banana skins fell out and everyone in class started laughing but him. Feeling paranoid and insecure since I got back with my boyfriend help?

At the start of May my boyfriend of just under a year dumped me because he wanted to travel to Spain for 6 months in September to do EVS (european vocational scheme) which left me heartbroken and feeling siucidal. Ok so you know the story me and my roommate who is a year younger than me, we do fight but the one thing we do agree on is my step dad. He's nasty, mean, tight and down right lazy. Behaviour problems since 6/7.?

im now 17 and when i was 15 i was tested for ADHD but they said no i havent but i dident really open up about my problems. when i say to my self right im gonna do my room it takes me about 1 hour to get it done. when my parents or someone says no or something i flip and shout and scream and then put my head in my hands and cry and then smash things up. i swear at people alot and say stuff without thinking. when my people pee me off i kick them or punch them. and i say i dont mean it. or i dident do it. and then sometimes laugh. i can only concentrate for like 5 mins and then say to my mates' hey so what you doing' when they are doing there work. and i start walking out of class or wander around the room and then when i sit down i tap my feet or tap my fingers or flick something. and i dont listen when someones speaking to me e.g my teacher i say 'what' straight after. and in my primary school i used to pull my teachers leg, swear, hit other kid's,. and in high school aswell i got kicked out of two high schools. i talk alot. i can be really agressive and have the odd spells of being hyper. when my teacher said to my have you brung that dvd in i said omg i forgot. its a big effort to do one piece of worksheet. and in primary school i cracked this lads head open and stealed stuff aswell. and i got kicked out of my high school for smashing this girl up and then my teacher grabbed me away. im going to make an appointment with a doctor again. hopefully i will get this sorted. and what kind of behaviour problem does this sound like?

Okay, so I like a guy in the year above me at my school. We have so much in common and he is a genuinley nice guy (so i've heard). So when we're at school, although we dont personally know eachother and havent really talked much, he always stares at me and has smiled at me a few times before. What are the rules in Islam about keeping photos, children's drawings, or paintings?

I'm having trouble finding consistent information. I have many family photos, drawings that my young brother made for me (scenery, robots fighting, and two of me ) and some that the kids I teach have drawn for me. I also have two paintings that my father made. One is abstract (colors and shapes, no image of a specific thing) and the other is partially abstract but has a person facing away and reaching out (you can see part of the back, the back of the head, and one arm). My take has always been that I do not worship these images, so it's not a problem, but recently I've been told that ANY image (incl. photos) of ANYTHING is forbidden to hang on the walls (the paintings can not be put away, they are too large) and that photos and pictures of LIVING THINGS are forbidden to be kept even in albums or boxes. These things are precious to me. I don't worship them. They have emotional significance and I'd prefer to keep them as they are, if possible, but if this is wrong I need to know.

How to get away from my dad!?

I am 14. I was living with my dad all the way until i was 13. It went down hill between us when i was 11. He constantly yelled at me for things i had no control over. He would threaten and even hit me once or twice. "I tore the family apart" i was "a little ***** like your mom" Those were only some of the things that would be shouted at me as i was pushed and yelled at. He drinks and when i asked him to stop he accused me of calling him a drunk. He takes what i say out of context and threatens me with it. At the begining of 7th grade i had had enough and i ran away after school. I was only pushed to that after months and months of fighting with him and getting blamed for everything that goes wrong. He would come home frustrated and no one knew when he was going to blow. But i was always the subject. I thought running away would bring the cops attention to my father but they laughed in my face. Along with my dad. They had no idea what kind of hell they were dropping me back into. For that whole year i was in and out of deppression, cutting myself, and had post dramatic stress symptoms such as numbness to the world and that thing where your body wont move when you are awake. Where you open your eyes but your body still is in a sleeping state. It was the scariest thing that would ever happen to me. I would get it a couple times a aweek. My mom finally threatened him with a lawsuit if he hadnt handed me over. Which he did. I am getting better but the transition from the big city to small town life was hard too. But i finally have some friends and am going to my highschool three times a week to workout with them. But this whole last year has been constant fighting. Back and fourth. Now he says he is taking me back. He wants to drag me back to the city for offering him money in an email so i can go visit my ailing grandmother. He got mad and said he was taking me away from my mom. But i wont go back to the depression and the numb feeling. I just got over it. I stopped cutting months ago. Im finally fitting in and doing things i love. Its like he doesnt want me to be happy. What can i do to get away from there. He has friends at the police station in chicago and has placed himself in good tidings with powerful people. I feel trapped. I just cant go back there. I was even considering suicide when i was there. Please someone tell me what to do?

If my ferrothorn is wearing a power band while I EV train in defense do I get the boost?

No. A power item gives 4 EV's to the stat it affects regardless of what it battles. This is added to what it get from the pokemon defeated. Pokerus doubles it to 8. The absolute maximum a pokemon can get is 14. But it needs to have the power item, pokerus and the pokemon defeated has to give 3 ev's normally. So a power item mixed with pokerus taking on a pokemon that give 1 ev you would get 10 per battle for that stat.

Pokemon EVs Question?

I have a Gastly that I want to EV train. It has the Pokerus, so it should get double the EVs than normal. I know that the only two pokemon in Celestial Tower gives off +1 EV in Special Attack. With the Pokerus, it is +2. If I have Gastly hold the Power Lens, how many EVs would it get? Does the game count the item's boost first, then Pokerus, or vice-versa?

Stick with your second team they will really help but as for wat you say about zoroarks ability it is a very good ability. because it could make your opponent use minimal damage moves that would severely hurt the real one.

It seems that you have a typing problem. Three of your pokemon are weak to ghost moves and dark moves.Two pokemon are weak to water, to ice, and to dragon. I'd suggest replacing Victini, beacause taking it out removes alot of weaknesses.

Help with ev training Tyranitar?

Well it would also depend on your moves. My Tyranitar is a "cursing" Tyranitar, so I trained him on attack and HP. Basically Hit Points count as both of your defences, cause bulky pokemon (sometimes) don't have too much health. If you have a Normal Tyranitar then I would split them between his Sp Defence and Health. He has enough Defence, so you don't really have to worry about that. His Sp Defence isn't all that great so, I would increase that and Health just to make him take more hits.

I tend to be a fairly logical, engineering and scientific person, so I like things concrete and factual. I find abstract concepts hard to grasp. So calculus is definitely a challenge for me. Can anyone offer a clear, concise, helpful explanation of what a derivative of a function is? What does the new function represent, and what is its relation to the original? If you can provide a visual beyond graphs of rates of change and tangent slope graphs, that would be great too! If at all possible, can you explain it with as few mentions of limits, tangent graphs, and rate of change problems as possible? I need something I can visualize.
